Leena: I like Luna because she is selfish but that selfish doesn't mean this bad word 'mean'. She is proud to be herself and doesn't even care for others but I feel that is cool but not bad. Though she is like that, she's been crucial among frens and she is one of my best character besides Harry, Ron and Hermione.

Corbyjane: As a Christian student at a secular highschool, I believe a lot of things that my fellow students consider ludicrous--in angels and demons, and that the earth is only 6 thousand years old. I have gained a new appreciation of the derision that Luna gets at Hogwarts, believing in something her fellow students consider ridiculous. GO LUNA!

Christina: I love Luna because I think that she embodies all individuals who have great faith in the unknown or in their religions or otherworldly things. She doesn't need proof, like Hermione. She has great conviction, and although perhaps most of what is printed in the Quibbler is false (Sirius Black, singing sensation...?), I firmly believe that in the final book, one or more of her favorite "mythical" beasts will actually prove to exist. She has a strong spirit, and I admire that. She's like an anti-Hermione, who's all about "just the facts", but she's not insecure like Professor Trelawny. Trelawny comes across as a fake because she has to PRETEND to be mystical and capable; she has no confidence. Luna IS confident.

Kristen: I absolutely adore Luna Lovegood because she is extremely unique. She always speaks with a dreamy tone, which makes her personality seem soft. You never know what she will do or say next. Luna makes you feel happy just reading about her... She is just plain lovely.

Alex and Lindsey: Luna is herself, she doesn't let anyone controll her beliefes. She is an amazing person who everyone would like to meet. She dares to go against the norm. She is a roll model for me and my friend.

Emma: I think in a way Luna is the type of person that everyone secretly wishes to be like. She's smart, but quirky. Reality based, but dreamy. And she has that type of 'Accept me for who I am, or don't, but I'm not going to change for you attitude.' I really admire her and just love who she is.

Ally: I like Luna because she is so independent. And most of the time she doesn't even care if people make fun of her style. She is very strong, and sometimes even a little sensitive. I just LOVE LUNA!

Ashley: She is my absolute favorite character! I love that she's different from the rest of crowd (it makes me feel like I'm not the only one). A lot of people I know (especially my best friend) think I'm exactly like her. She doesn't care what others think and she has her own opinions and stands up for what she believes in! That's kind of rare these days. People call me Luna (and others Loony-but whatev), which I think is a complete compliment (the Luna part that is)! I definitely look up to her! She's one of my role models!

Lauren: She is quite quirky! Through reading the Harry Potter books, I noticed JKR has a way of making the big characters semm smaller than they should be. Even Though Luna is a rather inquisitive, but small charcater, I have a feeling that Luna will become a big part as the books plow on! Who cannot love Luna?

Rachael: I like Luna because she reminds me of myself. Always that kid that every one looks at because she is weird. She always belives that anything is possible. And she has her own little world where she dosn't care what you say. she is so unquie. She is just one of my fave characters!!!!!! You rock!!!!

Varsha: I think she is somewhat like me;like,I don't talk qeer things and DO NOT wear butterbeer corks,but I usually say things I think is the truthy and don't care if it isn't.She is also so very brave (I think calling the minister of magic a vampire is really brave).She has proven her loyalty to the trio and theDA.Theb best thing is she isn't afraid to speak the truth,and continues to speak the truth,come what may!

Sheila: I like Luna because she is unique, witty, intillectual, and smart. These are all characteristics I like to have in a friend. I would be in Ravenclaw, so that is another reason I find her amiable. She's quirky, and doesn't care the least about what others think of her.

Viva: She doesn't care what anybody thinks. She's bright and keeps her head up to whatever unfortunate event happens. She's friendly, kind and fun. (And completely insane!)

Kim: Luna is one of those people who does whatever she wants to do, regardless of what other people think. So as crazy as it may seem, in that respect she is a role model. So many people today care far too much about what other people think. Luna is a person who just does her own thing, which I really respect. I also respect that she is brave. She was ready to fly to London on a thestral without a moments hesitation. Some people might just think that means she is oblivious, but I don't really think so. I think she just wanted to help, because she is a good person. All in all, Luna is a fun, quirky character who all can look up to and enjoy reading about.

Samantha: I love her because she is so crazy and unique, and it doesn't bring her down! She doesn't give a care about what anyone thinks of her, and I think that is toatally awesome! She also has a sensitive side and is a very loyal friend to Harry, Ron, and Hermione. All n' all, she's my favorite!
